Hide and Go Seek
Hide and Go Seek is the game of choice at our house these days. Annie asks for it often, shouting "Seeeeeeek!!!"
It's amazing what will entertain a toddler. They could play this 30 times in a row (with the same two hiding places), if only they did not insist on my participation. I can handle about 8 times, and need to move to the next thing. It's cute the first 5 times...then the glimmer wears off a bit.
Here is a sample of how it goes around here...
C: Annie, you count. I'll hide.
A: Two, two, two, two, two, two, two....come! Charlie, where are you? (wanders aimlessly in a 5 ft. circle, though she kept her eyes open and watched exactly where Charlie went.)
C: He he he he!
A: Charlie, where are you?
C: In here Annie!
A: Charlie, where are you?
C: In here, Annie, under the bed. You'll never find me!
A: (Standing in room, still can't find him despite the fact that his legs are fully visible, and he almost always hides under the bed). Charlie, where are you?
C: Annie! I'm right here!!! (I point out his legs to her.)
A: Eeeee! Ha, ha, ha! Yay!!!!
C: Aw, man! You found me! Let's play again!
Pretty sweet....and pretty hilarious. If you need a weekend activity, come on over. They love willing participants! :)
