"No cry, Annie! I come get you!" (What a sweet brother!)
Charlie had a head-first crash off the tricycle in front of the neighbor's house, resulting in a large goose egg on the forehead. Lots of dramatic crying...the neighbor even came out to help, as I was sitting on the ground trying to hold both he and Annie at once.
Mommy: Do you think you can stand up and walk back to the house with mommy?
Charlie: No!!! (Cry, cry, cry, throw body backwards dramatically on the ground.)
Mommy: You have a really big ouchie on your head. Maybe we can go look at it in the mirror.
Charlie: (Tears stop immediately, running to the door...) I got ouchie on my head...a big one! I call Daddy! I big boy!
I guess boys come by the whole tough guy thing naturally. When he saw that goose egg in the mirror, he grinned from ear to ear.

My Dolly is 3 months old!
Dolly, aka Annie, is growing so quickly! (Well...at least maturing quickly. She's still pretty little). She is so sweet and girly...she even talks in girly, very high pitched coos. She is truly a delight to us...we just can't get over how much we love this little girl!

Here she is intently watching figure skating. She has her mommy's taste in sports! Yay Annie!
Bundled up for the snow!

The mohawk is an everyday do for Annie. This is actually a pretty tame picture of it. We can't make it lay down...yes, I've even tried product. Along with the bald spot she now has in back, her hair is problematic to say the least...she gets comments on it everywhere she goes. Let's just hope it's not a foreshadowing of hairdos to come in the teenage years.

Kids say the darndest things
Some phrases repeated daily around our house these days....
"Annie crying, mommy! Pick it up!"
"Happy Balemtimes Day...where my candy?" (over and over)
"I a T-Rex. You wanna come to my house to play?"
Sunday--
Mommy: What did you learn in Sunday School, Charlie?
Charlie: Toys. God.
Mommy: What else did you learn?
Charlie: All things. (clearly the catechism is setting in...but I'm not sure we are getting it!)
Charlie likes using his tools, but has been told not to hammer people. This is his explanation after hammering mommy (with plastic hammer) in the face--
"I no hammer people, mommy. I hammer mommy."
Daddy: What did you do at Robert's house today?
Charlie: No share! No sir! No hit, Charlie! Time out!
Mommy: That sounds about right!
